Base Nautica Toscana offers professional services for the temporary or seasonal lay up of any kind of boat, craft or inflatable. It can handle boats of any size.

In order to meet customers’ various needs in the most efficient manner, Base Nautica Toscana offers two types of lay up:

• Outdoor lay up: BNT has an outdoor area of 14,000 sqm consisting of an asphalt-surfaced yard equipped with water and electricity capable of holding around 150/180 boats.

Protection from precipitation and sunlight is guaranteed by the use of specific canvas covers and innovative materials of certified quality.

• Undercover lay up: our undercover area of 4000 sqm can house up to 40 boats and is equipped with a bridge crane for loading and unloading operations.

Equipment used:

• 12 ton double-hoist bridge crane which covers the entire length of the covered area. It allows for loading and unloading as well as the moving of boats within the undercover lay up area.
• Cradles: boats will be placed on special cradles which adapt to any kind of hull wherever a customer reserves lay up. The self-supporting structure makes it possible to move boat and cradle together, thereby reducing lifting operations of the boat itself. The special feature of the cradle is that it is lifted and transported by a motorised trolley.
• A special Travel-lift capable of lifting 20 tons will carry out the shifting of boats.
